How many students does it take to change a light bulb at Williams?
The whole student body – when you’re snowed in, there’s nothing else to do.
What Uni in the USA says...
Williams is one of the few American colleges that draws only two reactions from its students – either they love it or they hate it. Fortunately, for the success of this small and thriving East Coast school, the majority of its undergraduates fall into the former category.
But prospective students should be aware from the start that this is not a place for everyone. Situated in 450 acres in a tiny (as in one street) town in rural Massachusetts, Williams is an isolated college with superior academics and a small student body famed for having the nicest people around. Great for those who love skiing and sport, it could turn into a nightmare for anyone with a craving for crowds and the city lifestyle.
