The Access Project delivers a personalised programme for year 10s to year 13s to support them in securing places at the UK's most selective universities.
They work in school and provide students with a volunteer academic tutor from business to support them in a particular subject at GCSE or A level. They deliver a programme of tailored one to one and group support on the pathway to university, such as support around choosing GCSEs and A levels, making a good university application, and student finance.
They say that students at the schools they work with are twice as likely to attend a selective university than students at similar schools, and make on average an extra 6 months academic progress in their tutored subject.
