One parent we spoke to said they’d thought long and hard before sending their children to the school, but they had been delighted with how their children had fared. 'Some of the teaching is outstanding and committed.' Keen to point out that they are a School of Basketball and that they won this year’s Scottish Schools Cup. Lots of dedication, with pupils coming in early and staying late for practice: they were obligingly bouncing around the court at great speed...

Head teacher
Since 2016, Fiona Robertson. Arrived from Mackie Academy where she was a depute head. Before that a quality improvement officer for Aberdeenshire Council. Has a BA in history with education from Stirling, a masters in leadership in professional contexts from Aberdeen and a Scottish qualification for headship. Young, enthusiastic and ambitious for the school, she seems to be an inspired choice who is keen to take the school in new directions. When not working loves to run (hopefully not from Perth Grammar).
