Other features

All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Since 2011, Tony Eysele (50s) BSc Natal University, HDE Edgewood College of Education, organisational behaviour degree Heriot Watt University. After two years in the army, started his teaching career in a South African state school before moving into, and progressing upwards in, the independent sector. Headships in Johannesburg and Harare until, in 2004, moved to the UK with his wife and sons and became foundation director at Lord Wandsworth College, Hampshire. One of his sons is now a teacher, the other is a professional athlete. His wife is admissions director at Marymount International School in Kingston-on-Thames.
