What The Good Schools Guide says..
Classes fairly small; year groups of 70ish split into four and setted for maths, English, French etc. Loads of competitive triumphs too in maths challenges and the Gilbert Murray Classical Essay competition among others. Impressive record of art school entry (lots to Glasgow) and some distinguished past pupils. Walls zing with really exciting work, often killing two birds with one stone by using a theme from literature or even chemistry...

Other features
All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Principal
Since 2021, Richard Charman, previously a deputy head in Edinburgh. Has also been sports director of co-curricular, among other positions. Degree in sports science and maths from Canterbury.
Since September 2021, head of upper school is Heather Stark. She first joined the college in 2000 as a teacher of business, economics and computing science and more recently has been vice principal. BA in commerce in information management and PGCE in business education, economics and computer science – both from Strathclyde.
Entrance
Mainly to nursery, J1 and S1 but will accept at any stage (excluding S4). Entry assessments for all.
