All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Since 2021, Ted Lougher, BA (Hons), PGCE, MSc (Oxon), mid 30s. Mr Lougher grew up in the Cotswolds - ‘I’m a country boy at heart’ - attending Christ Church Cathedral School as a chorister, then Bloxham School. Studied modern languages (‘French, with a smattering of Mandarin and German’) at Exeter University, before a PGCE and MSc in education at Oxford. ‘I trained as a secondary specialist, but realised I loved teaching beginners.’ First arrived at King’s as head of modern languages in 2013, rising to assistant head, then did three years as deputy head of Clifton College Prep School.
