What The Good Schools Guide says..
A member of the school council was in our midst and, on passing a board featuring his own beaming face and those of fellow councillors, he explained that the school is on the face of it run by the head and the teaching staff but that the school council also in fact has quite a say in what goes on around there. He did, however, lament the veto of a recent request to reinstate crisps as a breaktime snack. ‘Worth a try,’ he shrugged, philosophically.
Thank the school
Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.
This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.
Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.
All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

What The Good Schools Guide says
Mrs Katherine Jeffrey has overall responsibility for New Hall School, both preparatory and senior divisions.
Preparatory school headteacher since September 2015 is Mrs Carole Goodwin BEd MEd, previously vice principal and head of lower school at Colchester High.
Earliest joining point is at 3+ into the pre-reception class. Assessment is by nursery reports, parent interviews and trial sessions, but the school also carries out home visits and nursery visits, ‘so that we can build strong relationships with our families and ensure that a child’s start at New Hall is as smooth as possible’.
