About Us - Students First
Outwood Academy Acklam is a school within the small, but well established Outwood Grange Family of Schools, one of the top performing academy chains in England. It replaced Oakfields Community College on 1 September 2013.
The Outwood Family has built up an enviable reputation over the last 5 years. We pride ourselves on our commitment to provide young people with the very best opportunities to achieve.
Outwood Academy Acklam is also part of the Outwood Grange Teaching School Alliance, led by Outwood Grange Academy, an 'outstanding' rated National Teaching School.
The whole point of schools is that children come first and everything we do must reflect this single goal.
