Principal
Since 2016, Paul Garnault, previously principal of Coleg Plas Dwbl in Pembrokeshire, also part of the Ruskin Mill Trust. He is now principal of both colleges, splitting his time by spending three days a week at Ruskin Mill College and the remaining days in Wales where he lives with his family. After working for 25 years in the creative industries as an artistic director, performer and media producer, Paul worked at various colleges, (Merthyr Tydfil, Coleg Gwent, Gloucestershire and Kidderminster) before taking on the role of head of the Academy for Performing Arts at Birmingham Metropolitan. He says of Ruskin Mill, ‘The landscape is the best teacher, and my best member of staff.’
