What is this?

Facilitating A levels are ones that are commonly needed for entry to leading universities. The % of pupils achieving AAB or higher may therefore decrease if many pupils have opted not to take two or more of the facilitating subjects mentioned.

SEN overview

Claires Court Schools is a mainstream school. The school may provide support for students with special educational needs as detailed below. If you require more information on conditions the school can support, we encourage you to contact the school directly.

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

We provide specialist diagnostic and support services for dyslexic, dyspraxic and dysgraphic students. Tuition is by withdrawal for one to one and small group work. Mainstream subjects may be sacrificed to allow for withdrawal, or missed through rotation on a school day. Whilst other needs are recognised and supported, such as teaching for English as a second language or behaviour management for students with ADHD, the purposes of our special needs provision are to ensure students remain engaged with a broad, balanced and imaginative curriculum. All 5 phases of education (nursery, foundation, primary, secondary and sixth form) have appropriately qualified staff to co-ordinate our SEN provision, though the actual costs of tutor time for individual and group work is met by parents of the individuals concerned.
