SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

Kestrel House school is part of the Eagle House Group and opened as a day school for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Aspergers Syndrome in September 2008. Our school provides both nursery and primary education for children aged 2-11 years. Nursery aged children do not need a diagnosis but simply need to be demonstrating showing social communication difficulties. Children in the primary department need a diagnosis of ASD and a statement of special educational needs. Our unique curriculum, which combines speech and language therapy and teaching has been successfully helping children over the years in our celebrated little group nursery in Surrey and has given us a national reputation as a leader in the field of autism.

Our school is growing rapidly and will eventually provide a total communication curriculum for some 65 children. Our multi disciplinary team includes three speech and language therapists and two occupational therapists
