Boarders
Boarding on a flexible basis, with a new programme for full boarders including a cultural programme. Boys only until recently but now extended to girls. Seen as an important part of the ‘prep’ experience and fundamental to the school’s ‘homely’ feel.

Mobile phone policy
A clear mobile phone policy is a really important part of modern schooling. This school has provided us with their policy.
Mobile phone policy
Day pupils should not bring mobile phones to school, but if there is an exceptional circumstance which requires them to have one, it should be handed in to their Form Tutor or Matron for safe keeping during the day. Day pupils may use the telephone in the School Office to call home, if necessary. Boarders must leave their phones or other electronic devices in the boxes at the School Office on arrival. They can be collected at the end of the day with permission from the Housemaster or Housemistress. Boarders are able to access their phones from Matron’s Room to call home in the evenings during specific times, after which they are returned for safekeeping. Children who are boarding over the weekend may use their phones on Saturday evening and during the day on Sunday. Pupils must sign the ‘Mobile Device Policy’ explaining acceptable use.
