What the school says

For 150 years, Aysgarth has delivered a distinctive boarding experience rooted in freedom, friendship and fresh air. Set in 50 acres of North Yorkshire countryside, 85 per cent of pupils board. Proudly non-selective, the school sees up to 50 per cent of year 8 leavers achieve scholarships to top senior schools, including Harrow, Radley and Shrewsbury. Weekends are filled with sport, music, drama and outdoor adventure, while Saturday mornings include lessons and chapel. An escorted train service supports London families. Aysgarth is a place where children can be children, manners matter and muddy knees are worn with pride.
