Queen Mary’s is small enough that every girl is known as an individual and it makes sure she does as well as she can. Academic challenge is tempered with a very diverse range of extracurricular activities, excellent pastoral care and an idyllic learning environment. Yes, there’s a strong focus on high quality teaching and learning, but Queen Mary’s is about the whole child, with sports, arts, spirituality, service, and full-on outdoor activities to satisfy the most adventurous. The full educational monty in a very beautiful package.

Queen Mary's School is a mainstream school. The school may provide support for students with special educational needs as detailed below. If you require more information on conditions the school can support, we encourage you to contact the school directly.

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

Queen Mary's is a friendly, family school and the SfL (Support for Learning) Department sees itself as the hub of that environment. Any girl can visit us at any time during her school life here for whatever difficulty for as long - or short - a time as it takes to set her back on the rails. The most common difficulties are dyslexia, dyspraxia and Asperger's. The department has a literacy specialist, a numeracy specialist and an early years specialist and between us we cover most problems. We also run workshops for the whole school on study skills and revision techniques. 09-09
