For those in search of academics, ‘LEH really takes it up a notch,’ one parent said. Another, ‘almost deterred by the rather daunting school prospectus’, went to visit anyway and was delighted to discover the school’s nurturing and creative side. For now, the school seems to have the balance between academics, creativity and wellbeing just right and we would agree with the parent who said, ‘They are doing a cracking job!’

Lady Eleanor Holles Junior School fosters excellence within a supportive, family-like environment, developing bright, confident girls who mostly join at age 7 from various schools. Most progress to the senior school at 11, with a guaranteed place. The school offers high standards, with girls often working ahead of their year group. Set in an attractive building, Burlington House, the school features spacious classrooms, specialist rooms and excellent sports facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool. With a wide range of clubs, including drama, tennis and muic, along with enriching trips and residential visits, the curriculum is dynamic and diverse.

A fully-qualified SEN teacher is available part-time to work with individual girls or small groups as required. All girls are screened for Specific Learning Difficulties in Year 4 and further individual assessments are offered to any girl whose work or test results cause concern. Individual assessments with the SEN teacher are also offered at any stage if staff believe a child may need extra support.
