Entrance
Moorfield is the biggest of the three local independents and is in stiff competition with them as well as the very strong state primaries in the area. There is no entrance test and the head is clear that it would be very unusual to say no to a child.

Mobile phone policy
A clear mobile phone policy is a really important part of modern schooling. This school has provided us with their policy.
Mobile phone policy
Parents are not allowed to use mobile phones in the school grounds and premises when dropping off and collecting children. Special permission is given for concerts and performances but with strict rules about no uploading to social media, parents are required to sign a contract to agree to this.

Fees include lunches and any teacher led extracurricular activities, of which there are many. Peripatetic music lessons are extra, along with holiday clubs and termtime clubs where outside staff are brought in.

Our view
Much wider offer than you might expect, with a carefully constructed curriculum throughout. All starts in nursery, which has two lovely rooms with their own dedicated play space. Here children do phonics and get a good grounding ready for moving up
