No entry test and saying ‘no’ to a prospective pupil would be unusual, head says. Most start in the nursery: ‘Our job is to convert them to stay for the journey.’ Relocations – ‘people coming home after living down south, mainly’ – and families

Three main destinations: Ilkley Grammar School (‘practically next door’, non-selective and perennially popular), Bradford Grammar (fee-paying, entrance exam) or one of the academically selective Skipton grammars (Skipton Girls’ or Ermysted’s).

From their first days, Moorfield children are part of something very special. We pride ourselves in being an outstanding IAPS school where each individual is nurtured, known and loved. There is a strong focus on academic excellence which instils a love of learning. The creative arts and sport are cherished and showcased and happy, confident children flourish and thrive. Leavers have a longstanding record of securing places at premier destination senior schools.
