What the school says

Slindon College is an independent day and boarding school for boys aged 8 - 18, set in the historic Slindon House, located in the South Downs National Park. The College provides outstanding transformative education and pastoral care for pupils who will thrive in a specialist learning environment more suited to Specific Learning Difficulties, Developmental Language Disorders and associated conditions. SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

We are a centre of excellence for moderate but complex learning difficulties including, but not limited to, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Asperger's Syndrome (mild) and others that may overlap. Slindon is also a haven for less able or vulnerable pupils who will not thrive in large classes. We have a warm and friendly atmosphere. The school adopts a holistic approach to learning support. Small classes with experienced teachers and a large team of classroom assistants are further supported by ICT, a dyslexia unit, dietary measures, Bowen therapy and medication.

Special needs planning is present at every level. Individual education planning goes beyond the classroom and is truly unique. Every pupil is fully included, enabled, valued and encouraged.
