Not a case of ‘come here to go to the grammars’ but ‘come here and let’s find out where is best for your child’. Considered less elitist than some other local options, the school also stands out for its excellent teaching, extracurricular, family feel and emphasis on fun.

Our view

It was raining cats and dogs when we arrived at the low-rise pastel blue fronted building on the edge of leafy, residential Cheltenham, but the bleak weather did nothing to stop these cheery pupils rushing from their cars towards the staff welcome

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

We cater for mild dyslexia and literacy difficulties and mild dyscalculia. Dependent on the needs of the individual child, we will assess and arrange a programme of support either before school or some withdrawal and in-class group work during the school day. This support is delivered by our SENCO and/or the class teacher in either small groups, pairs or on a one to one arrangement. In addition, a qualified teaching assistant, under the guidance of the class teacher and/or SENCO, often supports the individual. Teachers receive training on how to resource for children with learning difficulties and how to adapt their teaching within the classroom.
