If your daughter is outgoing, confident and creative this is an excellent choice. St Marylebone is an exceptional school. It has the benefits of the moral ethos of a Church of England school but is ethnically diverse and serves many different communities. With a bright young head at the helm, its future looks as rosy as its history.

Pastoral care, inclusivity & discipline
Pastoral care is very strong, affirm several parents. As well as there being systems of support in place among the staff and pupils, there is a strong mentoring facility between the older and younger pupils. This is an intense time of life for any
Mobile phone policy
A clear mobile phone policy is a really important part of modern schooling. This school has provided us with their policy.
Mobile phone policy
We have a very clear no mobile phone policy at St Marylebone, as we have for years. We know many students carry a mobile phone. These should be switched off and put in the students' school bags before they come through the school gates in the morning. Any phone seen or heard will be confiscated. The confiscation sanctions increase for a second and third confiscation (should it ever reach a second or third). Students know and respect this rule. On the rare occasions when a student breaks this rule, eg by using their phone in the toilets, they know they have breached not just a rule but the trust which is important to sustain a safe and supportive community in the school. Parents are very supportive of our policy, which has been in place for many years.
Pupils & parents
Broad social mix, made up of the heady variety of backgrounds and cultures that you would expect in an inner-London comprehensive. Much more middle class than many of its kind, however, because this is the golden apple if you are after an excellent
Money matters
National funding programmes largely cut so bidding for extra money from various sources takes up a lot of time. The result, however, is a school that is well staffed and well equipped, if not to lavish private school standards.
