A charming school with fairytale grounds and a joie de vivre we wish we could bottle. Ideal for children wanting to give everything a go – possibly one to think twice about for more reserved children. Academic but fun – kind and encouraging too.

Mobile phone policy
A clear mobile phone policy is a really important part of modern schooling. This school has provided us with their policy.
Mobile phone policy
Pupils in years 6 to 8 are allowed to bring personal mobile phones to school. Pupils in year 5 and under are not permitted to bring mobile phones into school unless permission is sought from the head. If a pupil in year 6 to 8 brings a phone to school, they must bring it to the front office where it will be securely stored for the duration of the school day. Pupils are not usually permitted to use personal mobile phones on school premises. Pupils must seek the permission of a member of staff before using a mobile phone on school premises, at an activity or on a trip. This includes taking photographs and making recordings.

Our view
Sandwiched between the Newmarket and Ipswich roads in a highly desirable residential area of Norwich, the school is based in a Georgian house with extensive grounds where we saw the children careering around in trainers (or wellies if it's ‘mushy’).
