Head teacher

Since 2007, Lorraine Heath, living in Taunton, grew up in Yeovil and studied at Exeter University. Never straying far, she taught English at several schools in Somerset before working as an English advisor for the local authority for a year. After five years as deputy head at Ladymead (now Taunton Academy), she joined Uffculme. Already a very good school, she was determined to make it better.



Lorraine met her husband, also originally a teacher, at Exeter University. He now runs his own business. Her eldest is at university studying philosophy and her youngest is still at
