What the school says...

Kingsley School warmly welcomes parents seeking a good all-round education and lots of opportunities for their children. We offer free “taster” days when prospective pupils can experience school life. The School offers a full academic programme to suit the needs of individual pupils, and there is an extra-curricular programme spanning many different activities. We have our own purpose built theatre and we benefit from a superb location on the edge of a small historic town and close to the Atlantic Ocean and Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks. Since 2022, Robert Pavis, previously deputy head (pastoral) at Gordon’s School, Surrey. A head on a mission, he is 100 per cent committed to putting this school firmly on the map. He was drawn to the role as he saw the potential in Kingsley, which at the time he felt was ‘rudderless’ but ‘had solid foundations and facilities whilst very obviously needing systems and structures to take it forward’. Trying to drive, improve and embolden the reputation of a school with a long history of being the gentle, understated local choice is not going to be without its challenges, particularly when the last few years have seen a noticeably high turnover of Kingsley heads.
