Since 2021, Mr Christopher Wilson BSc (Hons), PGCE. Educated at Oundle, then Newcastle University for his degree in rural and environmental economics and PGCE in secondary maths at Homerton (Cambridge). Knew teaching was his, ‘thing,’ from teens onward. ‘I went back to my old prep (Winchester House) to help with camps and trips and things. After university, they offered me a post teaching maths, later I became a boarding house master and ended up staying eleven years – very happily.’ In 2012 he moved to Lockers Park as deputy head, becoming head in 2013. Special Education Needs

At Town Close we have a Learning Support department which works across both the Pre-Prep and Prep departments. We work closely with parents and children to ensure that their individual needs are met. Children's needs are assessed through a variety of tools and support is put in place accordingly. This support ranges from in-class support, 1-1 support, small group work or even time with the School therapy dog, Bella! If a child has a Special Educational Need and we feel we can meet their needs, we are very happy to have them join the school.
