Non-selective. The nursery, pre-prep and prep school take all comers, only turning away children ‘who would not thrive in this environment’. Transition to the senior school is generally seamless.

The school bears the name of its founder, Peter Blundell, a wealthy cloth merchant whose will provided for the endowment of ‘schooling for 150 protestant grammar scholars’ in the early 1600s. More than 200 years later, the school moved to its present
