UK school reviews

We have reviewed 1,450 schools in the UK, including independent, state and SEN schools. Our writers visit on normal school days and meet the headteacher, pupils, parents and teachers, as well as speaking to parents. Their reviews then cover everything from academic matters, sport and the arts to the atmosphere of the school, staff, discipline, fees, facilities and where pupils come from or go on to. Schools are selected on merit and cannot pay to be included.

SEN school reviews

We specialise in providing information on special schools and have reviewed over 130 of them. Our SEN writers visit on a normal school day. We interview the headteacher, meet teaching staff and pupils and are taken on a tour. Because special schools may not have local or externally identifiable parent communities, we are assisted by the schools in making contact with parents and canvass independent SEN professionals for their views. Schools are selected on merit and cannot pay to be included.

International school reviews

Our writers talk to a range of parents with children currently or very recently at a school, as well as studying available information such as inspection reports, accreditation listings and published exam results. They visit on normal school days and meet the headteacher, pupils and teachers, as well as speaking to parents. Their reviews cover everything from academic matters, sport, staffing and language support to the atmosphere of the school, SEN provision, fees, facilities and where pupils go on to study.  Schools are selected on merit and cannot pay to be included.

Tutor agency reviews

We have reviewed a number of UK-based tutor agencies. Our writers speak to the team at the tutoring agency itself and send questionnaires to its recent clients and tutors. These responses inform reviews that cover what the agency offers, its ethos, its tutoring staff, and essential information regarding prices and any small print you need to be aware of. Tutor agencies are selected on merit and cannot pay to be included
