Exit

Around 50 per cent leave after GCSE, mostly for local schools such as Wymondham College and Easton College and the Norwich schools, but this trend is slowing down. ‘We understand the wish to move, especially if a pupil has been at Langley since prep

What the school says

Our vision is simple. Every child should be seen, heard and known. We focus on supporting and nurturing each child. We help them figure out what they love and we help them pursue those passions throughout their school journey. It’s a simple enough recipe but it works. We engage with your child to support them during their years with us, from nursery all the way through to planning for their future beyond school. We support their aspirations, whatever they may be, and we are always in their corner. That’s our vision: for your child to be the absolute best version of themselves.

Langley School is an independent co-ed day and boarding school in Norfolk with two 100-acre campuses, both featuring beautiful woodlands, amazing sports facilities and space to explore. At our prep school we begin at Bluebell Nursery (6 months to 4 years), with prep from reception to year 8 (age 4 to 13). At our senior school we welcome children from year 6 to upper sixth (age 10 to 18). We offer boarding facilities on a full, weekly and flexi-boarding basis.

Our curriculum is extensive, opportunities are boundless, and the only limit is your child’s ambition. Our commitments are clear:

Education

We will continue to drive academic results through a curriculum that realises individual potential, develops aspirations and creates future leaders.

Environment

We commit to looking after the two estates that we are fortunate to occupy, prioritising sustainability and the protection of heritage

Opportunity

We promise to provide access to opportunities that spark curiosity, enhance lives and foster unique talents.

Technology

We will equip our young people with the skills, confidence and sense of moral responsibility that allow them to navigate the world.

Wellbeing

We promise to nurture and support every pupil, focusing on mental and physical wellbeing.

Sports

Our sports programme has something for everyone, from those keen to have a go to elite athletes who we coach to compete on the world stage.

Our approach to academic excellence has its roots in the past, recognising the importance of solid foundations, but it has its branches firmly in the future, recognising that the shape of the labour market is on the cusp of the greatest change since perhaps the industrial revolution. Our job is to prepare our pupils to thrive in a world where the nature of work will evolve at great pace. We ensure that pupils are prepared in the most thorough way and that they reach their full potential. We also prioritise the development of character. We teach them how to problem-solve, to develop resilience and to work in teams equally as well as solo. We believe in the development of emotional intelligence, intellectual curiosity, independent thinking and care for others.

We are often told by visitors that they have a sense of calm, security and confidence when they are on campus. They feel their children have space to breathe and to be. We’d love you to have that feeling too. Come and experience it yourself.
