There is a lot of focus on chess, taught by external specialists and the pupils win competitions – national as well as local and within the school. Plenty of informal concerts in the local church as well as the large summer and Christmas concerts. You don’t have to be a maestro to perform. Parents a real mixture of busy professionals (in a high proportion of families both parents are working hard), mostly English and based in north London but there are some European nationals, and other overseas parents from further afield – US, Canada, China and Japan. Since 2005, Mr Brodie Bibby BA PGCE MEd (very young 50s). Previously deputy head at Westminster Under school where he taught for four years, Mr Bibby was educated at Truro school and Repton going on to study archaeology and ancient history at Exeter University, a PGCE at Roehampton, before doing a masters in education at University of Buckingham. He has worked at a range of schools in south London, from Honeywell Primary in Clapham to Finton House in Wandsworth, where he was one of the founding team at the inception of the school, to Hazelwood in Surrey.
